So it's been 2 weeks since i've gotten back from AX and more than a month since Fanime and I still haven't made an after-con report like I usually do.
Went to Fanime with:

So anyways, Fanime turned out pretty much the same as previous years as usual. Sit at the table, sell things, draw things for people, make a last minute visit to the Dealers room on the last day before it closes, go around Artist Alley for last minute commissioning (which no one was open for anymore), etc etc. It was pretty alright.
We had 4 tables this time, so we had to split 3 people to two tables, which wasnt too bad. In fact, it made our tables look more filled. Compared to last year, our tables looked busier with our 4 foot tall overhead stands. You can see it in the pictures and vid, which i'll post in my next journal.
Overall, Fanime felt pretty okay. As for AX, that's a different story.
I went to AX with

We 5 people were compressed into two tables. There was a rule that only 2 people could sit behind a table at a time, so at least 1 person was always up and about. Mostly me, since I wasn't accepting commissions and everyone else was doing them, so sorry if you didn't see me or anything. :[
It was pretty awesome having the Dealers room right next to us. Very convenient. I think I went there more than I went around the Artist Alley. I commissioned a lot of people though, and they had pretty nice commissions. :3
Having a hotel to just you and your friends is pretty awesome too. Get to stay out as long as we want. Get to go out and eat at the nearby Famima's (there were 2 around us, plus 1 on the way to the Con, which everyone else ate at). Famima was pretty much our dinner every night, except for the Dennys on Saturday.
We got to see all the fireworks in half of LA from our hotel room on the 20th floor or something on the fourth of July. Although we all fell asleep at some point because the fireworks lasted for more than 30 minutes and we didnt see the Finale anywhere, which sucked. :[ Funny that a Japanese Convention is held on the weekend of an American holiday. P:
Overall, AX was pretty awesome, even though I NEVER exited the Dealers Room/Artist alley for any reason except entering and leaving the con everyday.
I'll post pictures of the con and commissions i've done and recieved in my next journal.

Alle Deine Wege
Gehst du am Ende ganz allein
Niemand wird dich tragen
Kein Mensch für immer bei dir sein
Doch ein Stern wird brennen
Brennen für dich ganz allein
Du musst ihm nur folgen
Folg deinem Stern, er bringt dich Heim!
